Nebraska hosted their final regular season indoor meet, "The Nebraska Tune Up", this past weekend and former Iowa preps took part.  Blaire Dinsdale, North Tama, led the Huskers .... Brooke Dinsdale, North Tama, .... Ellen Dougherty, SC East, ... 

The University of Iowa track and field teams recorded 15 first place finishes at the Iowa Invitational on Friday at the Iowa Recreation Building. Drake, Northern Iowa, Central College, Simpson College, and St. Ambrose competed in the event, but no team scores were kept. This meet had a large number of former Iowa preps competing ........ In the women?s 600 meters, Blaire Dinsdale, North Tama, led the Huskers with a second-place finish on a personal-best time of 1:32.89. Brooke Dinsdale, North Tama, finished third, notching a personal-best time of 1:33.38, while Ellen Dougherty, SC East, came in fourth with a personal-best mark of 1:33.67.  
Nebraska will host the Big 10 Indoor Championships, February 24 and 25.

The University of Iowa track and field Meet ........ a large number of former Iowa preps competing on all teams involveed.  A number of those athletes compete for the Hawkeyes and did quite well.  Many of them winning their event.  The following are results of some those events featuring former Iowa preps:
Ryan Lamparek, CR Prairie, had a personal best performance in the shot put. The senior took the title with a toss of 57-0 (17.37m). That mark ranks tenth all-time at Iowa. Lamparek was also the top finisher for the Hawkeyes in the weight throw. He finished fourth with a toss of 58-6 ½ (17.84m)
Senior Nicole Erickson, CR Kennedy, and junior Hannah Simonson, Jefferson-Scranton, finished first and second, respectively, in the 400 meters. Erickson crossed the line in 56.79, while Simonson followed close behind with a time of 56.83.
The Hawkeyes dominated the 600 meters. Junior Keaton Rickels, Iowa Falls-Alden, took the title crossing the line in a personal best time of 1:19.43. Freshman Brennan Davey, Indianola, tied for second with a time of 1:19.9.  Sophomore Kyle Slaymaker, CR Kennedy, (5th, 1:20.92), and freshman Kyle Wheeler, Glenwood, (6th, 1:22.42) rounded out the Hawkeye line-up.
Kaleb Van Cleave, DM Hoover, took the title in the 400 meters with a time of 49.17.
Freshman Kevin Lewis,Ottumwa, and freshman Ben Witt, Burlington, finished first and third in the mile. Lewis crossed the line first with a personal best time of 4:12.47, while Witt also recorded a personal best time of 4:13.07.
Khanishah Williams, Burlington, competed well in two events. The freshman sprinted to a third place finish in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8.96. Williams also reached a height of 5-2 ¼ (1.58m) to earn a third place finish in the high jump.
